The SUPERVALU 2009 National Retailer Conference will be an exciting opportunity to join with retailers from across the country to “Imagine, Inspire, Innovate.” You’ll have a chance to share ideas and learn about successful strategies for competing in the marketplace of 2009 and beyond. We’re putting together an outstanding conference program that will include:

The conference will be held at the Hilton Waikoloa Village Resort on the Kohala Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii, from February 22-28, 2009. For 7 days and 6 nights, you’ll experience a perfect blend of business and pleasure at a resort that features beautifully landscaped grounds, fine restaurants and shops, championship golf, sun, sand and more. Register by March 17, 2008, and you’ll receive a $500 discount on the cost of the conference package. The cost will be $4,799 per couple, based on double occupancy, from now until March 17, 2008. The cost after that date will be $5,299, based on double occupancy. As an additional incentive to sign up early, the first 150 registrants will be guaranteed oceanfront rooms in the Ocean Tower. The registration form included in this packet should be completed and returned to Advantage Performance Network by mail, or faxed to 952-447-1345, by March 17, 2008, in order to qualify for the early-bird discount. Please print the requested information clearly as it will be used for everything from airline tickets to hotel room lists and name badges. Be sure to include the email address you prefer to receive information at as we will be sending out all updates and confirmations via email. The following is the tentative conference itinerary and program. A major enhancement to the itinerary is the addition of 1 day and night to the schedule. This will give you more time to adjust to jet-lag at the beginning of the conference and allow you to begin the business program relaxed and refreshed. Final program details including speakers, entertainment and other information will be sent to you in the future.

You will have one optional activity per person to choose from that will take place on Thursday, February 26th. Among the choices will be golf, whale watching, deep sea fishing, spa treatments and much more. Information and sign-ups for optional activities will be sent to you in the fall of 2008.
Advantage Performance Network (APN) will be making your air arrangements via the most direct routing from your home city to The Hilton Waikoloa Village Resort on the Big Island of Hawaii and return. SUPERVALU has contracted group space on major airline carriers for your air travel arrangements on the conference dates (February 22 to 28, 2009).Your air travel arrangements will be confirmed using non-refundable air tickets with an airline-imposed penalty for changes. You will be contacted about your flight arrangements prior to tickets being issued.
All extension requests must be made at the time of registration. Any requests for extensions and/or deviations made after we have received your registration form may be subject to airline-imposed penalties and/or increased airfares, as tickets may have already been issued. If you are planning to extend your stay from the program dates, please note this on your registration form. There is a specific box to check at the

If you plan to extend your stay in Hawaii after the conference ends, we have put together a package that will allow you to take advantage of our group rates for accommodations. Please see the details below and indicate your preference on your registration form. Confirmation is based on availability at the time of booking.
- Includes 2 nights additional stay at the Hilton Waikoloa on February 28 & March 1 (check out on March 2nd) and daily resort fees.
- Includes departure transfer to the airport on March 2, 2009.
- Cost is $649.00 per couple based on double occupancy. The cost will be added to your conference registration fee.
The average high temperature on The Big Island of Hawaii for February is 74º with an average low of 69º. Look forward to dressing in comfortable, casual resort-wear during the day, as well as most evening events. You may want to bring a sweater or jacket, as evenings can be cool with the tropical breezes.
In the event you would need to cancel your attendance at the conference after you have sent in your registration materials, please note that a cancellation fee may apply. You may cancel anytime until March 17, 2008, without penalty. After that date you will be charged $500 to cover administrative and cancellation costs. Regardless of the date you cancel, you will also be responsible for any non-refundable airline tickets that have been issued in your name.
Between now and February 2009, you can expect to see several updates and more detailed information. The final mailing packet, that will include your airline tickets and final program details, will be sent a few weeks before your departure for Hawaii.
